Ms Wang joined Haiwen in October 2012 as an associate.
In the area of Banking & Finance, Ms Wang has extensively represented financial institutions, institutional investors, as well as domestic enterprises for their debt financing transactions. Ms Wang’s clients include CMB, CIBHK, COAMCI, Huaxing, Hillhouse Capital, Bain Capital, Honganrobots, and Maxford Group, etc. Ms Wang’s recent experiences in Banking & Finance include advising CIBHK in connection with its various cross-border loan/security programs, advising Bain Capital and the management of ChinaData in connection with the MA loan relating to the acquisition of ChinaData and subsequent construction loans, advising Maxford Group on its restructuring financing, and advising Honganrobots in its daily financing, etc.
In the area of M&A transactions, Ms Wang has represented both multinational corporations and Chinese enterprises in numerous M&A transactions. Representative transactions include representing COAMC in connection with its acquisition of majority equity interests of Dalian Bank, Fujian Hongxin in connection with its attempted acquisition of Axitron (abandoned), Sinopec Marketing Co., Ltd. in its mixed ownership reform, and Baidu in its cooperation with Tencent and Wanda in the establishment of E-Commerce platform, etc.
In the area of PE/VC investments, Ms Wang has represented Hillhouse Capital, Sequoia Capital, TBP, CGC, Skycus, CICC, etc. in various PE and VC transactions ranging from Series A to Pre-IPO and involving establishing and unwinding of the VIE structure.
Ms Wang received her LL.B. and Bachelor of Economics degree from Peking University in 2010 and her LL.M. degree from University of Virginia in 2012. Ms Wang is qualified to practice in both PRC and New York.
Ms Wang’s native language is Mandarin, and she speaks English fluently.
