Mr Dai is a partner of Haiwen. Mr. Dai has over 20 years of legal experiences, and has widely been regarded by the clients and industry as expert in his practicing areas. Mr Dai’s practice focuses on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
Mr Dai joined Haiwen in 2002. Mr Dai worked at Slaughter and May in its Hong Kong office and London office from 2007 to 2008. Mr Dai rejoined Haiwen in 2009.
Mr Dai’s experiences in capital markets includes advising issuers or underwriters in a number of IPO projects on HKEX, NASDAQ, NYSE, Shanghai Stock Exchange and Beijing Stock Exchange, including the IPOs of Advanced Systems Development Co., Ltd., Greentown Management Holdings Company Limited, Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Co., Ltd, Weibo Corporation, Tarena International Inc., China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd., Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited, Youku.com, China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd., Yuzhou Properties Company Limited, China Power International Development Limited, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation, Sinotrans Limited.
Mr. Dai’s recent experiences in M&A include:
Representing Tongfang Co., Ltd. to purchase shares of Tangshan Jingyuan Yufeng Electronics Co., Ltd., purchase of controlling equity interests in Neo-Neon Holdings Limited (HKEX: 1868), purchase of equity interests in Chongqing Guo Xin Investment Holding Company Limited; Unigroup’s acquirement of Spreadtrum; Alibaba Group, Hillhouse, Bain Capital, Macquarie Group and other PE funds in a number of projects, etc.
Mr. Dai has rich experiences in healthcare industry, including representing Bain Capital, insurance group and other investors in many M&A deals in healthcare industry.
Mr. Dai has rich experiences in power plants industry, including representing China Huaneng Group, China Power International Development Limited, Macquarie Group and other investors in many M&A deals in power plants industry.
Mr. DAI received his LL.B. degree and his Master of Laws degree from Peking University in 1999 and 2002, respectively, and his LL.M. degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2007.
Mr. DAI’s native language is Mandarin, and he speaks English fluently.
