Ms. Hu joined Haiwen in 2021. Before that, Shanshan practiced law for 7 years with another renowned law firm in China.
Ms. Hu has represented multinational corporations, both domestic and international private equity firms, including Hillhouse, Alibaba, Ant Group, XiangHe Capital, Baidu Ventures, and SAIF Partners, etc. for their PE investments. She has also assisted numerous companies in their equity financing ranging from seed rounds to later stages, covering industry sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, biomedicine, etc.
In the area of M&A transactions, Ms. Hu’s recent representative experience includes representing Cowell Health in its acquisition of several pharmacy retail chains, assisting Demant Group in its acquisition of Shengwang (a Chinese hearing aid fitting chain network enterprise), advising Baring Asia on the sale of HCP Group, and providing services for the privatization of Suchuang Gas.
