The publication is edited by Prof. Rob Merkin KC and forms part of Informa’s leading series on international arbitration.

The article also cites findings from the 2025 International Arbitration Survey conducted by White & Case and the School of International Arbitration at Queen Mary University of London, which rank Hong Kong as the joint second most preferred seat of arbitration globally, alongside Singapore. The survey further reports that HKIAC Rules are the most preferred in the Asia-Pacific region and second globally, just behind the ICC Rules — reinforcing Hong Kong’s continued emergence as a global hub for arbitration.
